“NFP’s facilitator was great and being open about her own challenges created an open environment for us to express things openly."
Client overview
SolutionsPT, in partnership with M.A.C. Solutions, is a forwardthinking technology organisation with a strong emphasis on employee wellbeing, evidenced by 12 years of 3-Star Best Companies status and Platinum IIP accreditation.
Challenge
Despite the organisation’s progressiveness, a gap was identified in the organisation’s ability to support and manage neurodiverse talent. While organic interest in neurodiversity was growing, many managers lacked the confidence, awareness, and skills to navigate the subject effectively.
Without in-house expertise on neurodiversity, the leadership recognised the need to engage a partner to empower managers to foster inclusivity, understand neurodivergent profiles, and adapt their management styles to unlock the potential of all employees.
Our solutions
NFP partnered with SolutionsPT and M.A.C. Solutions to design and deliver a bespoke ‘Managing neurodiverse behaviours’ development programme, tailored specifically to the organisations’ needs.
The programme targeted 30 people managers across both businesses, aligning with broader cultural and strategic goals around wellbeing, talent, and leadership development.
“It’s very useful when managing your team members and being more mindful about how you support their strengths and needs."
Awareness webinar
Objective: Establish a foundational understanding of neurodiversity in the workplace.
Topics: Types of neurodivergence, myths and stereotypes, strengths-based approaches, and leveraging AI tools for support.
Manager workshops
Delivered online and face-to-face in small cohorts across two interactive modules:
Workshop 1: Understanding Neurodiversity and its Strengths Covered legal context, organisational
risks, strengths-based management, and the cost of inadequate support.
Workshop 2: Developing neurodiversity friendly management practices focused on behavioural vs. neurological challenges, executive functioning, inclusive meetings and communication, and practical adjustments.
Each workshop was complemented by pre- and post-learning activities, case studies, and co-designed elements based on live participant feedback – creating a psychologically safe and relevant learning environment.
The results
The programme delivered tangible business and behavioural impacts:
Increased managerial confidence: Managers reported feeling more equipped and confident in supporting
neurodivergent colleagues.
Enhanced empathy & awareness: Participants gained practical understanding of neurodivergent strengths and needs, particularly around executive functioning and communication styles.
Behavioural change: Real-time adoption of inclusive language, leadership behaviours, and the “4 Cs” model (Certainty, Clarity, Choice, and Connection).
High engagement & relevance: Cohort-based delivery and lived experience facilitation created strong resonance and psychological safety.
Appetite for continued learning: Many participants expressed interest in deeper explorations and applied learning formats.
Commercial value: By strengthening inclusive leadership, SolutionsPT and M.A.C. Solutions reinforced their employer brands and their strategic investment in talent development and wellbeing.
